On Monday, September 19 at 7 PM, the Nice Conservatory will open its season.
This evening will bring together Sandra Moubarak, on the piano, and Anthony Leroy, on the cello, one of the most promising duos of the current generation. After their advanced chamber music cycle at the CNSM in Paris, they won several awards at the Zagreb and Lausanne Competitions, then at the Maria Canals Competition in Barcelona. In 2004, their second disc, dedicated to Mendelssohn, was highly acclaimed by critics.
Free entry subject to available seating.
Other highlights of this program include the 2nd Maxence Larrieu International Flute Competition (from October 21 to 29), the first Bolshoi recital in France (October 13), and the largest Italian music festival ever held in France: SUONA ITALIANO, organized with the Genoa Conservatory (October 19).
The Nice Conservatory also offers:
โข Les Soirรฉes Kosma
โJoseph Kosma Musical Mondaysโ were organized for the first time 23 years ago, initiated by Pierre Cochereau, then director of the Conservatory, to pay tribute to Joseph Kosma, for whom the Nice Conservatory is the universal legatee of the copyrights. Joseph Kosma composed famous works inspired by the poems of Jacques Prรฉvert. He is also the author of symphonies and ballet music. This legacy allows the funding of many concerts each year, masterclasses, international exchanges, instrument acquisitions, and student scholarships.
โข Open Stages
The “Open Stages” allow students of the Conservatory to perform on the Auditorium stage. Great musical moments are foreseen and much dedication and work from those who may become tomorrowโs great talents. Your encouragement and listening are precious.
