Latest News

The Nice symphonic season will open on Friday, September 8th, with a sacred music concert at 8 PM at the Church of the Dominicans, performed by a group of musicians from the Nice Philharmonic Orchestra and the Nice Opera Choir, conducted by their director, Giulio Magnanini.

This evening will inaugurate a series of eight church concerts, as wished by György G. Ráth, musical director of the Nice Philharmonic Orchestra since September 1st last year, which will be offered throughout the season, alternating between the Basilica of Notre-Dame of Nice (Jean-Médecin Avenue) and the Church of Saint-François de Paule.

For the first of them, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is honored with a program featuring first the Solemn Vespers of a Confessor (KV339) followed by the Coronation Mass: two jewels of the sacred repertoire.
