OPERA ARIAS
Two concerts and a participatory opera in Carros!
June 14-15-16
As the summer season approaches and for the first time, Opera Arias, a cultural event open to all, will take place from June 14 to 16. It will feature the creation of a participatory opera outside the traditional venue with the residents of the town, as well as two other opera concerts at the Juliette Grรฉco hall in Carros.
This Thursday at 8:30 PM, the Cรดte d’Azur women’s vocal ensemble led by Isabella Baicchi, with Ioan Hotenski (soloist) and Nelly Fourcade (piano), will perform. The Choralines 06 will present some great opera classics.
On Friday at 8:30 PM, Opus Opera will take over the Juliette Grรฉco hall for a lyrical concert featuring the great opera arias. Aurรฉlie Loilier and Richard Bousquet will sing, with Nelly Fourcade on piano.
Finally, on Saturday at 8:30 PM, meet at Place du Promontoire, rue des Selves, for the launch of the first act of the traveling participatory opera with the residents, Carmen Tzigane. The community will be an integral part of this unique version of Georges Bizet’s comic opera.
Act 2 will then be performed in front of the Juliette Grรฉco hall, whose stage will serve as the setting for the “finale.” This participatory and intergenerational project is part of the city’s social cohesion initiatives.
