The Nice Opera will host a lyrical gala on Saturday, December 12, 2009, at 8:00 PM, organized by the AB Harmonia Onlus Association for people affected by Alzheimer’s disease. This will also be an opportunity to pay tribute to the great conductor and composer Gianandrea Gavazzeni, on the centenary of his birth. Leading the Nice Philharmonic Orchestra, the Italian conductor Sergio Monterisi will conduct excerpts from the greatest opera arias, performed by soloists Denia Mazzola Gavazzeni, Laura Brioli, Caterina Borrusso, Cesare Ruta, Mauro Bonfanti, Jean-Luc Ballestra, Franck Ferrari, and Francesco Ellero d’Artegna.
