Until August 31, as part of the “Flowers for My Neighborhood” operation, residents of Nice with a green thumb can register online to obtain a permit to plant greenery at the base of trees, on the website www.nature.nice.fr.
Shopkeepers in Old Nice, on the other hand, will have the opportunity to receive a planting kit to green the entrance or facade of their business.
The greening permit will allow nature-loving individuals to plant vegetation, chosen in consultation with the City of Nice, at the base of trees located near their homes. Applicants will be required to sign a charter when applying, certifying that they will be responsible for maintaining these green spaces.
Applications will be reviewed from September 1 to October 31, 2019. Starting November 1, 2019, 100 greening permits and 100 planting kits will be distributed for this first edition.
