To support the campaign by the Foundation of the Paris Hospitals – Hospitals of France for collecting donations for hospitalized elderly people and as a sign of support for this operation, the Nice CHU – Cimiez Hospital and many partners in the city present a positive image of old age and solidarity between generations.
Mrs. Monique Peyrat, President of the Nice Presence association, will lend her talents as an author and storyteller to 30 residents of the Cimiez hospital and children from the kindergarten class of the Regina Coeli school, directed by Mrs. Françoise Llanos.
This session will follow the show “The Adventures of Perlinpinpin,” a tale written and staged by Monique PEYRAT and mimed by members of the Nice Presence association on June 14 last.
This inter-generational storytelling session is part of the cultural program of the Cimiez Hospital Directorate, which has been working since 2002 to improve the quality of life for elderly people in the gerontology unit by developing cultural, artistic, and festive activities.
Another date to remember is Friday, October 19, at 2:30 PM, where a live performance will take place: the inter-generational mosaic workshop will create a 6 m² fresco depicting the Plus de Vie Operation logo.
Let us recall that for over ten years, the Foundation of the Paris Hospitals – Hospitals of France, chaired by Mrs. Bernadette Chirac, has been working to improve the daily lives of hospitalized elderly people by organizing the Plus de Vie operation.
Each year, this collection funds projects in four areas of intervention: pain management, family reunification, development of activities, and improvement of reception and comfort.
