The “Droit au cลur” operation aims to allow middle and high school students to learn to identify, as early as possible, discriminatory behaviors that are against the law, to know the sanctions that may apply and the rights available to victims. It encourages them to consider best practices in the prevention and education of behaviors.

Implemented for the first time in 2007 by students of the Faculty of Law of Strasbourg, the “Droit au Cลur” operation was taken up in 2008 by students of the Faculty of Law of Aix-Marseille.
It inspired the students of the Faculty of Law of Nice, who proposed a new version in 2009. The success and high educational interest of this edition led the organizers to repeat the operation, in an even more renewed format.
The implementation of the operation was carried out in two phases:
First, the students follow an educational training, provided by the students of the CERDP during two sessions, concerning the legal identification of behaviors constituting illegal discrimination and the guarantee of the rights of victims.
Then, the high school students put into practice the knowledge thus acquired. To do this, with the help of the CERDP students and their teachers, each class writes and stages a skit illustrating non-discriminatory and discriminatory behaviors, as well as possible responses to these behaviors and solutions that can be provided.
On May 18th, the students will perform their skit in front of the other classes and a jury composed of personalities from the university, school, legal, and judicial worlds.
This jury will be responsible for awarding a prize for the artistic and creative qualities of the students, and a prize for the legal understanding of discrimination, the extent of the rights of victims, and the possible avenues of recourse.
