The Fondation Hôpitaux de Paris-Hôpitaux de France organizes the “Pièces Jaunes” operation each year, a fundraising initiative in support of hospitalized children and adolescents.

Since 1990, the “Pièces Jaunes” operation has already helped medical teams to realize nearly 8,500 projects in favor of hospitalized children and adolescents in more than 448 cities.

Nice has become the essential meeting place of this major charitable event.

The program for the 2017 edition includes a visit to the Snoezelen room, within the Adolescent Child Psychiatry Unit, which especially cares for young girls affected by anorexia. This unit and its latest therapeutic equipment have been funded notably through the funds raised as part of the “Pièces Jaunes” Operation!

In the afternoon, the symbolic and traditional weighing of the “Pièces Jaunes” will take place at the Palais de la Méditerranée.

Several thousand of these piggy banks have been distributed across the municipalities of the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis. For reference, 1 kilo of “Pièces Jaunes” is equivalent to about 11 euros.

After the weighing, an “official diploma” will be awarded to each participant by the Bank of France.

Football player Olivier Boscagli will present a check to the Fondation Hôpitaux de Paris-Hôpitaux de France on behalf of OGC Nice at the conclusion of the weighing.
