As Mรฉtรฉo France has issued an orange alert due to weather conditions, Christian ESTROSI, Deputy Mayor of Nice and President of the Nice Cรดte d’Azur Metropolis, has activated the vigilance cell which will provide you with a situation update every three hours until the alert is lifted.
This cell functions in real-time monitoring of weather phenomena to take necessary measures for everyone’s safety.
Since 5 a.m. this morning, municipal and metropolitan services are on alert:
160 on-call bus drivers have been mobilized in case the service resumes. Control brigades and inspectors were able to go on site to inform users at bus stops.
The Tramway service has been maintained: to compensate for the halt in public transport, we have increased its frequency to every 3 minutes.
Following the modification of the prefectural decree, the following bus lines continue to operate: Line 3, 4, 7, 9/10, 8/12, 6, 16, 22, 23, 52, 81, 98/99, 100, 200 as well as the shuttles between terminals T1 and T2 of Nice Cรดte d’Azur airport.
Currently, the following services are mobilized:
โ The road directorate and the Nice Haut-Pays metropolitan subdivisions,
โ Urban risk prevention,
โ The cleaning service,
โ The municipal police.
The Academic Inspectorate has sent an email to all school, college, and high school principals asking them to organize a staggered release of students today due to the weather conditions. It is thus advised for parents to pick up their children as soon as possible.
The Early Childhood Directorate confirms to parents the possibility of picking up their children earlier in the day if they wish, starting from 2 p.m.

Currently, snow is at 100-200 meters altitude.
In the coming hours, on coastal areas, we can expect 5 to 10 cm in some places. In the hinterland, from 200-400 meters altitude, we will have 10 to 20 cm and 30 to 40 cm of snow locally.
