Situation Update at 11:30 AM
City of Nice:
In anticipation of the waves-submersion phenomenon, with a peak expected in the early afternoon, the south sidewalk and the bike path of the Promenade des Anglais have been closed since 11 AM, from Rauba Capeu to Ferber.
The beaches and coastal trails, green spaces, as well as the Christmas market remain closed until further notice.
Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis:
The evolution of watercourses is being monitored to anticipate potential consequences on the roads that may need to be closed in case of floods (Rive Gauche Tunnel of Paillon, RM 99).
The subdivisions are continuing their safety patrols on roads exposed to rock falls.
The access road to Isola 2000 (RM 97) remains closed due to icy rains. Significant snowfall is expected in the afternoon (about 1 meter).
The closure of the seafront of Cagnes-sur-Mer is maintained.
