Latest News

The Palais de la Prรฉfecture hosted the award ceremony for the Citizen Education competition.

In the presence of Adolphe Colrat, prefect of the Alpes-Maritimes, Philippe Jourdan, academic director of the national education services, Franรงois Jacquot, departmental president of the National Order of Merit, and many other local personalities, the award ceremony for the Citizen Education competition took place.

This challenge is intended to highlight the work of educational teams in the field of civic education. It also aims to reward students for the civic applications they implement in their daily lives, within their class, or their school.

Two categories of awards were given during this solemn celebration at the house of the Republic:

– Individual awards, which honor high school and middle school students who, through their efforts in their daily behavior, have distinguished themselves through their activity and influence in the service of the school community (acts of solidarity, helping integration, devotion towards other students, responsible behavior within the institution).

– Collective awards, which are given to elementary schools, middle schools, and high schools. These rewards highlight classes or elementary schools that offer civic education involving students by providing them with the knowledge necessary for their future life as citizens.

Winners received various awards, including: honorary diplomas, commemorative medals of the competition, trophies, books, or even an introduction to parasailing and buoy rides at a nautical school.
