Paid shuttles to the Grand Stadium: For the FN, the people of Nice are paying for Estrosi’s electoral whims

Latest News

Christian Estrosi has confirmed that the shuttles transporting spectators to the Allianz Riviera stadium will now be subject to a fee.

“This is despite the fact that this stadium, built without direct transport links (the initial project proposed by the previous municipality included a tramway connection) and with woefully insufficient parking spaces, already reports attendance figures well below forecasts, in addition to the sporting performances of OGC Nice,” notes the local FN.

The analysis is harsh: “In this case, just like in too many others, Christian Estrosi has demonstrated a complete and culpable lack of strategic vision for our city. Preferring rapid construction to fit his communication strategy and the election calendar, he completely disregarded the crucial issue of transportation to the stadium. Once again, the people of Nice, held hostage, find themselves having to bear the cost of this lack of preparation!”

The conclusion is also unequivocal: “We call on the municipality and the Metropolis to abandon this project and to maintain the free shuttles,” say the representatives of the Front National.
