“I have learned that amendment no. 1123 by Christian ESTROSI to article 49 of the MACRON law concerning Nice airport was rejected by the National Assembly. This is not surprising, as the left has the majority in the National Assembly.
However, I was surprised to learn the details of the vote. The ESTROSI amendment was rejected by 11 votes ‘for’ and 28 votes ‘against’.
Among the 11 ‘for’ votes, there were two votes from the left, two votes from the UDI including Rudy SALLES, and 7 votes from the UMP, of which none, besides his own, came from UMP deputies of the Alpes-Maritimes.
It is with astonishment that I observe that not a single UMP deputy from the Alpes-Maritimes supported Christian ESTROSI’s amendment!”
