Patrick Allemand: my association “Nice au Cœur” has nothing to do with the municipal slogan “Nice a du Cœur”.

Patrick Allemand, during a press briefing held yesterday, criticized the similarity between the name of the association he leads and presides over and the slogan of the propaganda campaign by the City Hall, which, for its New Year greetings to the population for 2019, used the slogan “Nice has heart.”

“Nice at Heart, imagined by three or four people three years ago, must certainly have been closely studied by the team of communicators at the Nice City Hall, who demonstrated, we must admit, a certain cleverness,” he commented, not without irony!

The simple addition of a letter, the letter “d,” was enough to create this new slogan, omnipresent for a month now on all the invitations to the New Year greetings, which have been numerous this year, on all the advertising billboards, and on all the carriages of line 1 of the tram.

For the opposition councilor, “Nice at Heart is today a very strong presence on social networks. There are 1169 supporters who follow our actions, the municipal and metropolitan news, debate all subjects, bring up critiques, arguments, proposals. That is what Nice at Heart is. If I spent a long time on this part-assessment, it’s to put its entire action and legitimacy into perspective.”

Proud, very proud of “his creation,” Patrick Allemand is no less firm in his conclusion: “Certainly, we do not have a monopoly on heart. […] It was therefore necessary to clarify and specify things. It is not this type of gimmick that will stop us.”
