Patrick Allemand’s electoral project: Nice must be united and civic-minded.

Latest News

They could be called the « shutter » municipal elections: candidates, particularly the incumbent Christian Estrosi and his challenger Patrick Allemand, take turns challenging each other with thematic projects (6 for the mayor and 4 for his competitor) with the goal of having the best future vision and in the process putting their opponent in difficulty.

This is the entire fascination and uncertainty of politics, and as we well know, democracy, like everything else, has its limits. Those limits are the voters!

Patrick Allemand had already presented his priorities to make Nice « more just and solidary ».

« The time has come to present proposals for a united and citizen-led Nice, » he said during a press briefing at his headquarters.

This project aims to be one of social cohesion through a comprehensive and cross-sectoral policy, whose guiding thread is what the socialist candidate calls « Nice Républicaine ».

He took the opportunity to fire a few arrows at the incumbent mayor: « Christian Estrosi has pitted people against each other, stoked tensions where he should have eased them. He has relentlessly manipulated religious issues for political purposes, while the practice of worship should be compatible with democracy and republican values. »

To conclude: « Nice needs a renewed citizenship, a true local democracy where the people of Nice can get involved and not just be consulted from time to time during token consultations, just for show. »

What conclusion? « For Patrick Allemand, » Nice can only be strong if it is united and unified. »
