Patrick Cesari was elected on Monday, April 28, 2008, by secret ballot and by a very large majority as President of the French Riviera Agglomeration Community with 32 votes and 12 abstentions.
The French Riviera Agglomeration Community includes 10 municipalities: Beausoleil, Castillon, Gorbio, Menton, Moulinet, Peille, Roquebrune Cap Martin, Sainte-Agnès, Sospel, La Turbie – a population of 65,000 inhabitants.
Located at the southern tip of the Alpes-Maritimes department, along the borders of Italy and the Principality of Monaco. Its territory, covering an area of 205 km², stretches from the shores of the Mediterranean to the peaks of Mercantour.
