PCF06 Wishes: for a year of victory for the working classes and the world of work

January is the time for well-wishing, and a handful of activists and supporters gathered in the familial setting of the premises at Saint-Roch Square for this traditional meeting.

The occasion allowed Philippe Pellegrini, the Communist Party secretary in Nice, to remind them that “the urgency is to mobilize.” He called for local struggles to oppose “the policy of social dismantling by the government of the president of the rich.”

In a short speech (a good example for those verbose with their unnecessary lyrical flights?), the one who replaced the emblematic Robert Injey, called to national responsibilities but always vigilant over… his local concerns, criticized “the right-wing duet of the Azure Coast, Estrosi and Ciotti, who, though today are in career rivalry, always agree on worsening national policies” and announced a series of initiatives to mobilize citizens and propose alternatives for housing, the top priority in local policy, “negatively characterized by land prices, a prohibitive private rental market, and public housing marked by impoverishment and clientelism.”

Gatherings are already planned: this Monday at 1 PM at the Palais de Justice in support of Martine Landry, prosecuted for solidarity offenses. Then on Thursday, also at 1 PM at Pasteur, alongside the staff of the CHU against the ARS’s decision to cut 300 beds and as many jobs.
