Peace and Sport: Things Are Moving on the Ground!

Latest News

Peace and Sport has been working since the beginning of the year with the Centre dโ€™ร‰tude et dโ€™Action Sociales (CEAS) Espace Famille to develop the first program around adapted practices on French territory.

This project, which brings together several children and young people from various socio-economic and religious backgrounds, has a unique implementation.

Indeed, Peace and Sport got involved to train young adolescents who then themselves offer adapted sports activities to more than 50 children aged 6 to 10 years.

The initial results illustrate the ability of sport to adapt to all types of environments, to reduce costs through adapted equipment, to emphasize a societal rule through a sports rule, and to facilitate access to sports, all while being a tool addressing various social issues.

New training sessions will soon be provided, and Peace and Sport will support CEAS in organizing an event showcasing the program’s activities on the occasion of the International Day of the Rights of the Child on November 20, 2014.
