The Macron reform is actually designed to totally dismantle the supportive system arising from the CNR program, a pillar of our social system.
Universality is an illusion when the announcements involve pitting generations against each other and sacrificing new generations. If this reform were truly virtuous, why is the delay in its implementation for generations born after 1975 presented as good news for those born before 1975?
Today, the country has received no answer to its main concern: at retirement age, what will be the level of my pension compared to my final career salary?
The country clearly sees that Macron’s objective is to make us work even longer for an ever-lower pension. The patchwork solutions proposed, adding little to nothing, aim to mask the looming 27% drop in pension levels over the next two decades.
Faced with the strong and growing social and popular movement in the country, another pension reform is possible to meet expectations and needs. The PCF will put all its efforts into its expansion, until Macron’s project is withdrawn, and calls on the youth, particularly targeted by the Prime Minister’s announcements, to engage in this battle.
