More than 5,000 people participated in the festive day organized for this purpose, on the same day, where educational, recreational, and nautical activities delighted everyone. Several hundred questionnaires related to the public consultation on the development of the Port of Nice were filled out on just Saturday, February 10th.
The entire population of Nice will be able, until March 10th, to share their vision for the future of the port, the desired developments and activities, parking, etc. The public consultation is conducted by the Council for Architecture, Urban Planning, and the Environment, which will maintain a presence at the Port of Nice, Quai de la Douane, on:
– Wednesday: 10 AM – 12 PM / 2 PM – 4 PM
– Thursday: 10 AM – 12 PM / 2 PM – 4 PM
– Friday: 10 AM – 12 PM
– Saturday: 10 AM – 12 PM / 2 PM – 4 PM
The conclusions of this public consultation will serve as a basis for reflection for the General Council, owner since January 1st, 2007, of the Port of Nice – Villefranche Santรฉ, which constitutes the main gateway to the 120 kilometers of coastline in the department.
Until March 25th, the people of Nice can explore the open-air exhibition that traces the history of the port from its creation to the present day and presents the urban evolution and development around this living space.
The concept is original; it allows one to travel back in time by wandering through gigantic columns 2.80 meters high and 1.30 meters in diameter. Huge banners are hung from the lamp posts that surround the port.
