1st Launch Meeting of the New Urban Renewal Program

Yesterday afternoon, at Jules Roman College, the Mรฉtropole Nice Cรดte dโ€™Azur, through Dominique Estrosi-Sassone, presented the New Urban Renewal Program (NPRU) to the institutional and associative actors of the Moulins neighborhood.

This informative session was an opportunity to present the stages of the consultation process and the work methodology implemented.

The objective of this consultation is to encourage all publics concerned by this new urban renewal project to participate in its development. Residents, citizen council members, association actors, merchants, and workers will be able to debate and mobilize for their neighborhood during participative workshops (workshops, training sessions, urban walks, etc.).

The final presentation will take place at the end of the year for a phase start by the end of 2019.

For reference: Since 2010, the Moulins neighborhood has been undergoing a large-scale urban renovation operation. More than 200 million euros have been invested by the Mรฉtropole Nice Cรดte dโ€™Azur and its partners to break the isolation of this district and integrate it into the urban development dynamic of the Eco-Valley (creation of the West-East tramway axis, construction of new roads, creation of squares, construction of social and mixed housing, opening and revitalization of shops, promotion of employment, etc.).

With the New Urban Renewal Program (NPRU), the Mรฉtropole Nice Cรดte dโ€™Azur intends to continue transforming this neighborhood.

According to Madame Estrosi-Sassone: ยซ The mobilization of residents is essential in this co-construction of the 10-year project. This transformation cannot and will not happen without the participation of the residents, the Citizen Council, associative actors, merchantsโ€ฆ
