The ultramarathon runner Philippe Moreau arrives in Nice on May 21 for his challenge of 42 marathons for “Run for Team for the Planet”.
Run for Team for the Planet is the challenge set by Philippe Moreau, 62, a business owner from Cambremer in Calvados, who is accustomed to marathons. He has taken on different challenges like traversing Australia in temperatures exceeding 50 degrees, or enduring temperatures below 40 degrees at the North Pole. A few weeks ago, he embarked on his new challenge, which consists of touring France in 42 days, running 42 marathons in 42 stage cities. He will complete his 20th marathon in Nice on May 21, arriving on the Promenade des Anglais in front of the Opera.
At the end of each marathon, Philippe holds a conference open to the public, where he raises awareness about protecting the planet and how to take action. During these conferences, Philippe Moreau promotes the association Team for the Planet, which aims to fund about a hundred companies in France for the development of environmental strategies. He bets that his conferences can help raise awareness of our perception, our consciousness, and our capacity to act against climate change.

Philippe also calls on athletes from the Côte d’Azur to come run with him to support him in his 20th marathon. On Tuesday, May 21, he will depart from Mandelieu-La Napoule around 10:30 AM to arrive in Nice around 4:30 PM on the Promenade des Anglais in front of the Opera.
