In a ceremony rich in emotion and gratitude, Philippe Rossini bid farewell to the City Social Assistance Center of Nice.
Philippe Rossini had been the general director of the center since November 2020. Three years of hard work were praised by the mayor of Nice. Christian Estrosi emphasized that the former director is a true native of Nice. He grew up in the Saint-Roch neighborhood and has always been dedicated to helping others. Before leading the center, Philippe Rossini was involved in the gendarmerie.
The ceremony was also marked by a performance from the choir of the City Social Assistance Center. A choir desired by the Mayor of Nice himself.
A departure, for how long?
Even though he says he wants to take time for himself and live day to day, Philippe Rossini might find the time long. He is likely to embark on another project: “I will see if opportunities present themselves to me.” Christian Estrosi expressed no doubt that the local of Nice will return. In any case, he reminded everyone numerous times that he will always be welcome on the Côte d’Azur. Philippe Rossini himself mentioned that if he missed the center, he might come back… Who knows what tomorrow holds! In the meantime, he is leaving the reins of his mutual aid and sharing association to Father Gil Florini.
A tribute to all the work accomplished
But the former general director made sure to thank all seven hundred agents who composed his team. He also thanked all the partners, unions, and professionals who helped him move forward during these three years. He then reflected on the various challenges he had to face.
Starting with the COVID-19 crisis, he acknowledged all the specialists who brought their expertise to make the best decisions. He recalled the numerous projects that the center accomplished. As well as those it will accomplish even after he has left. Even though his successor has not yet been appointed. With tears in his eyes and with great emotion, he thanked everyone. Finally, he received an engraved medal from the city of Nice and various gifts to remind him of the capital of the Côte d’Azur.
