The FN regional councilor of PACA, Philippe Vardon, gives his assessment of the Moulins neighborhood where he grew up. He particularly targets the policy of Dominique Estrosi-Sassone and her predecessors.
Amina “takes care of welcoming the new residents” of the Moulins neighborhood, and Lamia, Affifa, and Saliha are very happy, with one of them commenting “the integration is going well.”
This is what could be read today in an article from Nice Matin about an event held in the Moulins neighborhood to celebrate the newcomers.
Of course, Dominique Estrosi-Sassone, deputy mayor and senator, applauds.
I, too, could talk to her about the Moulins. I knew this neighborhood before she took an interest in it (electorally), because I grew up there, just as my mother did. I could talk to her about the “former residents” who have made way for the “new residents” in just three decades. Who made way or were driven out, depending on how one wishes to view things.
I could talk to her about all those families who left: my Antillean neighbors across the hall, my upstairs neighbors of Spanish origin, mineโฆ Our families did not leave because their situation was improving, but because the neighborhood’s situation was deteriorating. Because insecurity and Islamic radicalism were increasing, because public authorities were yielding to the thugs.
These families, our families, left, and today I can read that for Amina, Lamia, Affifa, and Saliha “the integration is going well” in this neighborhood that is on the verge of being definitively ghettoized, with the applause of Dominique Estrosi-Sassone.
