On the occasion of the release of his book Arktic Circle, a work celebrating the beauty of the Arctic, photographer Olivier Anrigo will be signing copies on Saturday, February 19 at 4 PM at the Fnac in Monaco.

Passionate about nature and wildlife photography, Olivier Anrigo goes on expeditions around the world to capture moments of life and fragility.
In 2018, he revealed the grandeur and richness of the African Maasai Mara reserve in his book Kenya Safari.
Then, between 2013 and 2018, he participated in five expeditions to the countries of the Far North, from Lapland to Svalbard as well as from Norway to Finland.
After these several years of expeditions and observations in the heart of the Arctic Circle, Arktic Circle was born; a work of 95 images in which we find unique images of glaciers and nature, accompanied by short texts written by scientists who share their field experience.

This photojournalist, a wildlife lover and deeply committed to the environmental cause, has witnessed in recent years the devastating effects of climate change on polar regions, and therefore hopes to raise awareness with the mission of preserving this beauty and wealth. Raise awareness and not guilt.
Surrounded by specialists, climatologists, and glaciologists, he wishes to show the urgency of the situation: wildlife and flora are in danger, our magnificent landscapes are in danger.

It is not just a collection of images, ยซit is a co-construction with scientists who come to enrich a broader project, Arktic Interactionsยป.
With the help of Arctic experts, he created the Arktic Interactions program, in which talents relying on photography and scientific knowledge are brought together.

They also launched a crowdfunding campaign on the platform “Ulule”, now completed, the funds of which will allow for the programming of new actions such as photo exhibitions, organizing conferences and workshops for young audiences, and depending on the funds, conducting a new Arctic expedition to bring to life a project of educational documentaries.
Moreover, for each book ordered, two euros are donated for the implementation of concrete actions to protect the poles, which are now threatened.

Olivier Anrigo also unveils the result of these five years of work in an exhibition in Monaco to raise public awareness of the richness of polar lands, and above all the need to preserve them from climate change.
โ€“ Until February 25 at Espace 22: 24 Boulevard dโ€™Italie.
