Since its creation more than 20 years ago, the VSArt association (Volunteering and Support through Art) has been dedicated to improving the living conditions of individuals experiencing moral, physical, or material fragility by providing them access to culture and art through various and original activities.

In Nice, the association particularly focuses its efforts on children from so-called “sensitive” neighborhoods; it promotes encounters between these youths and older or disabled individuals.

Over the course of this year, children from several leisure centers in Nice (Agora Nice-East, Espace Soleil, Epilogue, La Semeuse, and the CEAS Family Space of Vallon des Fleurs) have worked on learning about the life and works of Picasso and then visited the museum dedicated to him in Antibes. They subsequently embarked on creating their own artworks, in collaboration with residents of retirement homes and adults from the Specialized Welcome House of Canta Galet.

On the occasion of this inauguration, more than a hundred children will present the fruits of their labor in the magnificent setting of the Masséna Museum.
