The victims of the July 14th attack and their families, regardless of religion, are invited to meet with Pope Francis in a private audience in Rome on September 24th.

This invitation particularly moved Christian Estrosi: “On July 16th, Pope Francis expressed all his thoughts and prayers for the victims and their families, as well as his compassion for the City of Nice. The Holy Father also expressed his wish to meet with the victims and their families, accompanied by a delegation from our city.”

The former Mayor of Nice will, of course, be leading the Nice delegation.

“In this absolutely interfaith spirit, the families will be accompanied by members of Alpes-Maritimes Fraternitรฉ, an association that has fostered dialogue in our department and city for over ten years, bringing together representatives of all faithsโ€”Christian, Jewish, Muslimโ€”and all religious sensitivities,” he announced in an ecumenical spirit.
