The students of the MICA association, the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis, and the City of Nice invite you to discover the Mars aux Musées 2012 program on Friday, March 2, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Palais Lascaris in Nice.
The eleventh edition of Mars aux Musées will take place from March 5 to 30, 2012. Since its creation in 2001, the Mars aux Musées adventure has already attracted over 150,000 visitors.
From Villa Masséna to MAMAC, including the Musée d’Art Naïf and the Théâtre National de Nice, this unique event in France invites students to discover or rediscover around twenty cultural sites in Nice.
In search of renewal, Mars aux Musées will be under the theme of contrast this year! Throughout March, students will take over cultural venues and offer a new perspective on culture through original programming.
Open to all, Mars aux Musées remains above all a cultural event dedicated to students. It results from the partnership between the students of the MICA association, the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis, and the City of Nice.
The students of the MICA association participate in the development of the event’s programming in close collaboration with the cultural projects of the museums hosting them. The University of Nice Sophia Antipolis and the City of Nice, by providing their human resources and cultural establishments for this event, fulfill their educational and cultural access missions for everyone.
A month meeting art
The month of March will be punctuated by original mediations, night events, and off-campus university courses. Starting March 5, the day of the inauguration at Palais Lascaris, and for four weeks, let yourself be surprised by the program imagined by the students, combining music, theater, dance, and many other artistic experiments. On March 30, on the Saint-Jean d’Angély campus, a series of concerts highlighting students will conclude this rendezvous with culture.
