“One should not strive to add years to their life, but rather try to add life to their years.” This is the quote with which Charles Ange Ginésy began his speech. It was a positive address intended for the hundreds of people present at the Palais des Rois Sardes.
On the agenda was the presentation of the upcoming “Seniors in Action” activities for the first semester of 2020. With an 18% increase and over 25,000 people currently registered, the range of activities offered needed to evolve as well. Therefore, new cultural, sporting, and recreational activities will be introduced.
Among the examples, there are “seasonal balls” that now take place every Wednesday. A new format will be introduced in 2020.
But there will also be “senior cinema sessions at the Mercury,” “senior hikes,” “discovery days at exceptional sites,” “trips across France,” and “senior photo workshops.”
Eric Ciotti then spoke. He recalled how “the activities already in place were a success”, highlighting the success of the final of the 6th edition of Dancing with the Seniors held the day before.
He also explained that “This more diverse and rich program aims to allow everyone to have the opportunity and the leisure to share special and joyful moments”.
