As part of the centennial of the Great War, this Friday Yves Kinossian, director of the Departmental Archives, presented his work “Temporary Hospitals, Wounded and Sick in the Alpes-Maritimes and Monaco,” in the presence of Maรฎtre Jean-Jacques Ninon, President of the Mediterranean and International Court and Competitions (CCMI).
The ceremony was followed by a conference on women in the temporary hospitals of the Alpes-Maritimes and Monaco during the Great War.
The department of Alpes-Maritimes, and Monaco, are particularly designated for the care of military personnel evacuated from the fronts. This is what explains the unprecedented findings of the study titled “Temporary Hospitals, Wounded and Sick in the Alpes-Maritimes and Monaco (1914-1923).”
