Ronald Zins presented his “Académie Napoléon” based in Lyon, of which he is the president. A true enthusiast of the Emperor, he proposed the idea of creating a branch of his association in Nice.
Enthusiastically interested in history and Napoleon Bonaparte, members of different associations in Nice, such as “Souvenirs Napoléoniens” or “Nice Paris Culture,” gathered to discuss the potential establishment of the Académie Napoléon in Nice.
The Académie is an association of Napoleon enthusiasts founded in 2004 and presided over by Ronald Zins. It organizes numerous conferences on the themes of the two empires, as well as trips related to Napoleon’s life and military campaigns.
The goal of the Académie is to foster exchanges between history enthusiasts. For President Ronald Zins, Napoleon is more than just a historical figure. “In the turbulent times we are experiencing right now, Napoleon remains, for many, a beacon in the darkness. He alone represents the grandeur of France, and it is important to remember him. I founded this association to share and educate people about this period of France.”
For the President, it is not a matter of conflict with other historical associations already present in Nice, but rather to bring together lovers of history and those interested in the life of the Emperor and the era of the two empires.
