Presidential 2022: Jean-Marc Governatori from Nice declares his candidacy

Latest News

The Nice city councilor and co-president of the Ecology Center movement, Jean-Marc Governatori, announced this Friday, January 21, that he was declaring himself a candidate for the 2022 presidential election.

Four months after his defeat in the ecologists’ primary, where he finished last with 2.5% of the vote, the president of Nice’s ecologist elected officials declared himself a candidate for the presidential election, “in the face of the incredible disunity of the left, [โ€ฆ] in the face of the absence of major topics and bold solutions in the presidential debate.”

“The issues of climate, democracy, education, energy, financial, health, and social matters are being eclipsed to focus on polls and Zemmour!” he denounces in his announcement of his candidacy.

For him, the solution is “autonomy.” “The autonomy of individuals and territories in terms of food and energy. Circular economy, health education, energy renovation, gardens everywhere, local exchange systems in every neighborhood, moving away from presidentialism, the principle of co-responsibilityโ€ฆ must monopolize the French presidential debate,” he adds.

With less than three months to the election, the left already has five main candidates, not including far-left candidates or even less popular candidates who are uncertain of obtaining the 500 sponsorships.
