The indictment of François Fillon has not changed the situation for the right-wing in the Côte d’Azur.
Although Christian Estrosi has not said “beeh” in some time and gives the impression of having distanced himself from the candidate with whom he has strained relations, Eric Ciotti confirmed his unwavering commitment: “More than ever, trust and support for @FrancoisFillon. No one will steal the change that the French desire.”
In fact, having moved under the banner of the LR primary winner, the President of the Departmental Council has become a key piece in the heavy artillery of the candidate who portrays himself as a victim of a judicial conspiracy.
For him, everything is simple and clear: “Those who have crafted these scenarios want to prevent @FrancoisFillon from campaigning and being elected!”
To address the reported missteps, the campaign team of the former “collaborator” has decided to resort to the drum roll method: the cannons do not fire salvos, but fire at will, which creates continuous shelling against the judiciary accused of interfering in the election campaign and substituting the people’s will.
Indeed, it’s déjà vu, the accused becomes the accuser… of the accuser.
Faced with such hypocrisy, a reflection is necessary: Wouldn’t it be better to defend against the charges and demonstrate their baselessness?
Too simple, you might say…
