The significance of populist votes in the first round and the level of abstention, as well as blank and null votes today, the spread of the “neither nor” stance, and the weakening of the barrier against the National Front reveal the divisions within our nation and the strong demand from the French people for a historical break.
As it is likely the last opportunity to reform France peacefully, this five-year term must be useful to the country and bring about clear changes in the lives of our citizens. During these crucial five years, the Radicals will assume their responsibilities.
