Slam’Addict is a project that combines themes of health and culture, aimed at raising awareness among young people in the Pasteur neighborhood about addiction prevention, which can disrupt their well-being and weaken their health.
Since 2017, led by the City of Nice as part of the Atelier Santé Ville, in collaboration with the Rectorate and local social and educational stakeholders, “Slam Addict” has involved more than 60 young people from priority neighborhoods.
The project consisted of 5 workshops per class focusing on addiction awareness conducted by a specialized association (CSAPA Emergence), and 8 workshops per class in Slam writing, a contemporary means of expression, organized by the Orygamusic collective and the City of Nice’s Youth Reception and Listening Point.
This Tuesday, at the Francis Gag Theater, the productions from these workshops conducted at Pasteur High School and Magnan High School will be presented in a Slam tournament format.
