Presented this evening in a cinema in Nice, “Brillantissime” by Michèle Laroque was filmed over 33 days, exclusively in the Alpes-Maritimes from March 20 to May 4 of last year.
In her feature film, the actress from Nice showcases her hometown. Throughout the film, scenes are shot in the Musicians’ Quarter of Nice, in Old Nice, at the Allianz Riviera Stadium, at the Cemetery of the Château, and even at Nice airport.
The film was partially financed by the department through an aid fund.
Created in 2006, the aid fund for cinematographic and audiovisual creation and production aims to support high-quality artistic works that highlight the natural and cultural heritage of our region.
To achieve this, a reading committee meets once a year to provide consultative advice on submitted projects. At the last reading committee in October, chaired by Corinne Touzet, Michèle Laroque’s film “Brillantissime” received a favorable opinion for production aid.
