In the context of Article 49 of the Macron law, which allows the transfer to the private sector of the majority of the capital of the Aรฉroports de la Cรดte d’Azur company, Marc Daunis, Senator of the Alpes-Maritimes and Mayor of Valbonne Sophia Antipolis, has submitted three amendments to regulate such a transfer in order to best preserve the essential interests of the nation and the territories concerned.

The second introduces binding criteria to the specifications of the call for tenders. For example, it encourages the purchase of shares by the company’s employees and gives real intervention power to local elected officials and employee groups in reviewing the candidates for purchase.

Finally, the third prohibits any entity domiciled in a tax haven, or controlled directly or indirectly by such an entity, from submitting its candidacy in the context of the call for tenders, thus preventing any arrangements aimed at tax optimization.
