On the occasion of the opening of the exhibition “Calisto Calistobramalvrak”, Gérard Baudoux, Deputy Mayor of Nice in charge of Museums and Modern and Contemporary Art, and Alexandre Devals, Director of the Venet Foundation, will present the Young Creation Awards to two winners selected by a jury of 5 members (Alexandre Devals, Director of the Venet Foundation, Jacqueline Morabito, Collector, Hélène Guénin, Director of MAMAC, Mathilde Roman, Art Critic, and Jean-Pierre Simon, Director of the Villa Arson).
These awards align with the City of Nice’s commitment to support young artists trained in Nice and to assist in their professional development after their studies.
The award winners receive a 2000-euro creation grant, along with a studio at the 109 and housing for one year. A joint exhibition at the Galerie de la Marine in October 2018 will allow them to showcase their work.
Under the whimsical title “Calisto Calistobramalvrak”, you will also be able to discover a short film by students in their studio at the Villa Arson (directed by David Perreard).
