The European Movement, in partnership with the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence, is organizing a conference this Monday at 5:00 PM at the Faculty of Law (Trotabas campus). The speaker will be Professor Philippe Maddalon from the University of Paris I Panthรฉon Sorbonne, discussing the topic: “Is Liberal Individualism a Factor in the Crisis of the European Union?”
Philippe Maddalon, a legal scholar, focuses his research on the potential connections and reconcilations between human rights and economic law. He is the author and editor of several works, including “The Concept of Market in the Case Law of the Court of Justice of the European Communities” and “The Uses of Economic Facts in European Union Law.” He is the Deputy Director of the Sorbonne’s Research Institute for International and European Law (IREDIES).
