In this last weekend of October, the Promenade du Paillon donned its finest attire to celebrate its first anniversary.
On Saturday, for the first day of festivities, a considerable crowd gathered on the Promenade du Paillon. Throughout the day, locals from Nice, people from the surrounding area, and tourists strolled through the park’s paths. It must be said that the municipality went all out to properly celebrate the first anniversary of “its” Promenade.
The program included a concert by the municipal band, photo activities, and numerous nature-themed activities for children. Two performances of the Guignol puppet show were offered, and as usual, the little puppet sparked a multitude of laughs among both young and old.
At the Albert 1st garden, those lucky enough to be selected in a draw got to see the Promenade du Paillon from a hot air balloon. It was an opportunity to take beautiful photographs and admire the park from a completely new perspective.
Finally, this first day concluded spectacularly with an impressive show by the Deus ex Machina company, which dazzled the hundreds of spectators with its aerial and acrobatic performance under a translucent balloon.
One almost wishes it would happen every weekend…
