In three years, the Lino Ventura Theater in Nice, with Romain Vigna at the helm, has managed to attract big names in contemporary music such as Raphaรซl, Dyonisos, Olivia Ruiz, Renan Luce, Grand Corps Malade, AaRON, CocoRosie…
Once again, trending artists will perform on the stage of the Ariane Theater, along with artists to be discovered. Romain Vigna describes his struggle and philosophy: “I’ve been fighting for three years. We have a logic of quality and diversity.” A formula that worked during the previous season from January to May, achieving a 100% occupancy rate.
Muriel Marland Militello, Deputy for Culture, present during the presentation conference, first expressed her satisfaction at seeing the Lino Ventura Theater move from the “animation” sector to the culture sector. She justified the budget dedicated to her field of competence after Deputy Mayor Christian Estrosi announced the reduction of certain expenses in 2008: “We cannot reduce the budget for Lino Ventura or we will kill it! The Lino Ventura Theater has a very high artistic quality with a variety in artist themes and geography. It is a theater on the level of Parisian stages.”
