A protest organized by farmers from the Confédération Paysanne took place in Nice. They are protesting against the measures taken by the justice system regarding avian flu.
This Thursday, April 14th, they came accompanied by sheep and chickens in front of the courthouse. This demonstration was sparked by the decision of the Council of State, which rejected multiple appeals filed by the unions. The appeals aimed to annul the decrees on avian flu that mandate confining all poultry in France, even those “raised outdoors.”
Several associations and unions believe that the measures implemented actually contribute to the spread of the disease.
New appeals are already being drafted.
