Agricultural Fair 2022 awarded 11 producers from the Alpes-Maritimes department who won a total of 15 medals: 7 gold, 7 silver, and 1 bronze. The department wanted to congratulate them further by giving each a departmental distinction.

During the International Agriculture Show in Paris, the general agricultural competition is organized, rewarding the best farmers, beekeepers, brewers, breeders, and artisans. This year, 11 people from the Alpes-Maritimes were medalists in this competition.

The department thus presented the “Proud of our Farmers” trophy to these 11 winners, giving them even greater visibility and a marketing advantage for their products.

At this 2022 edition of the International Agriculture Show in Paris – the “reunion show” – nearly 60,000 visitors came to the Alpes-Maritimes booth, a success noted by the department president, Charles-Ange Ginésy, who stated, “truly measured the enthusiasm of the French for agriculture.”

In the context of war in Ukraine, which strongly impacts agricultural sectors, the department president further emphasized the importance of food security today more than ever as a priority, and how agriculture is a sector for the future.

“I want to salute the laureates of this agricultural competition, who have seen the fruit of years of hard work rewarded and distinguished. I want to express my gratitude and offer my most sincere congratulations,” declared Eric Ciotti, president of the finance committee of the Alpes-Maritimes departmental council.
