If MIT retains the top spot in the 2019 edition of the QS World University Rankings, a multi-criteria ranking published by the specialized firm Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) this Wednesday, French higher education institutions are generally on the decline.
In particular, the University of Nice (UNS), which in 2014โthe date of the first surveyโwas ranked between 495/500, now stands between 651/700.
The best placements of American and British universities are confirmed: among the 10 top institutions, there are 6 “stars & stripes” universities, 3 British, and the Polytechnic of Lausanne, the only continental champion.
For France, the most highly regarded institution is Paris Sciences et Lettres, which ranks in the 50th place.
QS Top University Ranking is recognized by the global academic community in the same vein as THE and Shanghai.
