The 39th edition of the Régates Royales-Trophée Panerai concluded on Saturday evening with the award ceremony attended by the Mayor of Cannes and numerous dignitaries who came to commend the crews of the classic yachts that put on a show during the five-day competition in La Napoule Bay.
But on this Sunday, the cannon fired precisely at 11:00 AM for the Coupe d’Automne of the Yacht Club de France, as the breeze is present in La Napoule Bay: a very welcome easterly flow of about eight knots which is expected to strengthen as the early afternoon progresses.
This will allow all these classic yachts, which have been engaged in five days of racing under particularly favorable conditions in Cannes, to speed towards the Gulf of Saint-Tropez on a downwind run under spinnaker.
