While everyone agreed that the former Ray stadium should not remain a wasteland, opinions diverged between proponents of the green option (parks and gardens) and the realists who accepted construction as a necessary evil, provided it doesn’t lead to overdevelopment.
Conclusion: the City Hall, it goes without saying, opted for the second choice. Otherwise, how could they finance green spaces, community and sports facilities without promising the property developer a return on investment through the construction and sale of housing and commercial spaces?
The result is that from an initial draft for 90 apartments in a four-story building (R3), it expanded to 300 in a six-story building (R5).

To respect the spirit and history of the site, the VINCI group (VINCI Real Estate/Adim/VINCI Construction) in partnership with architects Édouard François and ABC Architectes, were selected to create, in a lush environment, a new residential area of approximately 300 apartments, as well as commercial spaces.
