The turmoil within the National Front federation, for which I was responsible for the NICE metropolitan community, confirms the difficulties in the relationships between departmental federations and the party’s need to destroy what “works”.
Indeed, we have always pointed out that it is abnormal for the party to function in such a centralized and Jacobin manner, defending interests that are not understood by a large majority of the leaders.
Being subjected to the diktat of a national leadership completely disconnected from local issues, with no knowledge of the identity, culture, history, or even the language of our regions, shows an ignorance of the need for respect towards those who work, invest, and achieve spectacular results.
The absence of any candidate from the National Front of the Alpes-Maritimes on the left bank of the Var demonstrates how much “the Republican League” was necessary.
A political entity for which the defense of national interests is not incompatible, quite the opposite, with the proximity-focused defense we wish to implement, thereby respecting the modernity of relationships that some have forgotten.
We were right to do so, because we cannot watch leaders be offended by the functioning of democracy (the issue of 500 signatures) without, at the very least, applying it to their own functioning.
To disdain is not to govern. Investing, in the first constituency of Nice, without the slightest regard for those who have rebuilt the FN’s renewal, a man who cannot really be said to represent the future, having made his political career in the AME party, who voted for all the laws that have led us to where we are and spat on the front is surreal.
Deploying a Parisian executive, in the third, virtually unknown, unless mistaken a member of the RIF, only looking to reap the fruits of work sown by local activists, saying himself “I’m coming to do a lap,” instead of a candidate locally established, is an affront.
Imposing on a departmental secretary, on the pretext, as she specifies in an interview, that candidates are only interchangeable brooms, to travel 180 KM round-trip to join a constituency she does not know is grotesque.
We could not accept this, it is for these reasons, and many others, that the “Republican League” will present candidates defending our national ideals with respect for the men and women faithful to their commitments.
Those who refuse diktats and parachutes without substance can join us in a modern and respectful struggle.
