On Monday, October 15, 2012, in Nice, a public/private partnership charter for a constructive framework in favor of sustainable social housing will be signed by the Deputy Mayor of Nice, President of the Nice Cรดte d’Azur Metropolis, along with 15 social housing providers and 22 private developers.
These 38 partners are coming together to propose a constructive framework in favor of sustainable social housing.
Improving the housing situation in the Nice Cรดte d’Azur Metropolis area is a major issue for all stakeholders in the housing sector.
For years, the strong tension in the real estate market has adversely affected the most modest and middle-income earners, who face significant difficulties in accessing quality housing that meets their needs.
The market must allow the development of a suitable offer for everyone.
The Nice Cรดte d’Azur Metropolis, responsible for the social balance of housing, has mobilized the main players in construction around a project that offers the necessary tools for relatively regulating the real estate market.
The signing of this charter by 38 partners, housing stakeholders in the Nice Cรดte d’Azur territory, demonstrates their common will to implement these tools and to engage in an active partnership at the early stage of defining each program.
The novelty of this charter is a voluntary approach shared by all signatories to act concretely on all segments of the offer (social rental, social access, intermediate access, etc.).
