After the partnership agreement signed on September 28, 2020, between the Prime Minister and Renaud Muselier, President of the Association of French Regions, for the joint management of the Recovery Plan between the State and the Regions, the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region will receive 32 million euros from the State to fund projects in the Provencal, Alpine, and Azur territories. The Region will contribute with an equivalent amount of funding.
This memorandum of understanding forms the first building block of the Recovery Plan and will be supplemented gradually by operations financed by the local investment support grant (DSIL), the State-Region Plan Contract (CPER), or by future calls for expressions of interest.
This first wave of operations will notably enable the development of concrete projects, which will be immediately initiated and implemented in 2021. These mainly involve infrastructure to improve mobility and to secure public facilities.
Among these projects is the creation of a heating network on the Valrose campus of the Côte d’Azur University in Nice. The project’s cost is 3 million euros.
