In the framework of the requalification of the Port Lympia district, the city of Nice is setting up a consultation commission.
As part of its transition policy, the mayor of Nice, Christian Estrosi, proposed several major initiatives last September concerning the requalification of the Port Lympia district.
He then stated that “the entire Port Lympia district must benefit from new, more qualitative developments aimed notably at enhancing its attractiveness and allowing a better integration of port activities into their urban environment.”
Thus, the city of Nice has arranged the establishment of a consultation commission, which will be voluntarily led by Olivier Bettati, a former deputy mayor of Nice who notably possesses extensive knowledge of the port and maritime sectors.
This commission will hold open sessions at the port. All stakeholders in the district, as well as anyone wishing to express their views, will be able to participate.
This commission is expected to produce a report establishing a detailed assessment and recommendations that will be considered in the decisions made by Christian Estrosi.
The conclusions of this commission must be submitted no later than six months from now.
